The Stingers program was started by the Scarborough Baseball Association and fully endorsed by its member's leagues - Birchmount, East Toronto, West Hill and Wexford-Agincourt - to provide an elite program for top players in Scarborough adn East Toronto.

The Stingers clubs compete in the Toronto Baseball Association loop, which is interlocked with the York-Simcoe Baseball Association, and in tournaments throughout the season.

Since the inception of the Stingers program, the SBA's member leagues have gradually stepped away from rep baseball to focus on house league programs.  Most member leagues are forming house leage select programs which continue to grow.  Select baseball provides an excelled bridge between house league and rep baseball for developing players.

The Stingers field teams from the Rookie level through to the Midget level and is based out of Neilson Park.
